Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with a strong background in e-commerce, ERP, CRM, and supply chain domains. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both manual and automation testing, possess excellent documentation skills, and thrive in cross-functional, collaborative environments. This role demands close interaction with clients, development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and backend applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for applications in e-commerce, ERP, CRM, and supply chain environments.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Identify, report, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Conduct end-to-end testing of payment transactions, covering scenarios like successful payments, declined transactions, refunds, partial payments, duplicate payments, fraud detection triggers, and third-party gateway integration (e.g., Braintree, PayPal, Stripe).
- Validate key financial flows such as tax calculations and invoicing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and technical specifications.
- Act as a key point of contact for client communication, understanding their QA requirements and providing regular updates on testing progress.
- Review and enhance existing QA documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness (test cases, traceability matrices, defect logs, etc.).
- Participate in agile events such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Advocate for quality across the SDLC and support continuous process improvements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members when needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong exposure to e-commerce, ERP, CRM, and supply chain systems.
- Proficiency in automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with agile development practices and cross-team collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in client-facing scenarios.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into the development workflow.
- ISTQB or other QA certifications are a plus.
